Lift up your production to the next level

There are several services we can provide to you individually or all together. Outrightly we have more experience in show production, direction, operating or using the individual equipment in professional environments than the average bear. We are here to help you lift your game and get your personal and/or business show or social media content up to the next level.

If you have been thinking of expanding your production quality or are just looking to start. Either way we have all the required equipment and experience to help you lift your game, it may just be some extra cameras and a vision switch, more microphones and headsets, an auto que, lighting, a 5g modem, a streaming computer, an OBS setup, or Vmix maybe a pro Zoom meeting fully recorded. The point is we have the equipment and the experience to both setup and teach you to use it.

To give an Example!

In July 2020 I was on a live stream event for Edwards Scientific in North Ryde where I met their guest speaker John Maclean (johnmaclean.com.au ) we got chatting and with the pandemic in place he was not able to do his usual level of motivational speaking. He was getting some virtual bookings via zoom & teams at the time, both of which had not modified their software for more than just joining either with a laptop, so we discussed the possibilities. I had worked out a method of using the virtual camera in OBS to join either zoom or Teams. And no niether of these systems allowed this access at the time. John was impressed that I had managed to join OBS to teams on this day and in our conversation I mentioned that I had a studio in which he could do his normal stage presentation on Zoom or Teams. So buy October John had secured a number online meetings so we started to discuss the way we would do it then ran a complete live test in the studio to proove the concept would work. It did.

From there we started out resonably simply and slowly increased the level of complexity. In a green screen setting we supplied a monitor fro John to see what was going to air, provided teleconferent speaker and mic so John could talk to the far side host, and added 2 cameras and 2 laptops, one for the powerpoint and one for the timer. On the screen we provided for a medium shot of John in his whell chair and a wider shot of the area. In OBS i developed the templates to show John sitting or standing beside a virtual monitor and let him present as he usually did. Originally we started off with a black background but then soon tryed different backdrops and scenes to show off sydney and his presentations.

From there we did many presentations over the next few years to all parts of the world, some very late at night to time match with other locations on the planet. By late 2022 we had done about 20 presentations in the studio. From there John was able to get back to doing his work live although we still do the occational virtual presentation or similar. As we knew we would be doing a few of these we could provide this a very competative rate as once we had the setup tried and tested we could just replicate this every time making it an easy job each time we setup and tested.

Whatever your requirements are we can put together a plan to make it work and develop the structure of the production. By creating templates, the look, the branding and the technical setup we can replicate this many time and simply tweek the settings after reviewing each show if required.

Production / Direction / Editing

Production – If you need support putting your show together, reseaching material, designing and running your show format, design and setup of your studio or live area. We aim to be there as support until you feel you can deal with the production skills to keep your show going.

Direction – You may have or need a number of people to run your show often these are friends and supporters, operate cameras, control audio, control the stream, and other possibkle roles. We can help you direct the team while you are recording or on-air, call the cameras or basically direct the show. We can also support or train your designated Director.

Editing – Here is the cruxt of production and can make all the diference. It is also generally the most time consuming part. We develop templates and workflows to get editing efficient. we advise on the materials needed the best options for quality and speed of editing. And most importantly our editing machine is setup up to deal with 4k editing, runs a 16 core processor and is designed for a fast through put of data. We are fully online so all footage and material can be uploaded quickly from anywhere on the planet.

Technical Support and Consultation

Whether you need technical support for your production, This could be as simple as an autocue, extra equipment to augment your kit, or you want help with setting up and want to use some of our equipment to provide better options or results. Or perhaps you just need consultation on what you should add to your kit. We are here , we are experianced and can help in many ways.

We can also help with OBS or Vmix templates and control. We are experianced on both and have a full licence for Vmix. So if you need help building up your live stream look and feel, screen layouts, scripting, plugins or creation on the fly we have experiance in this.

We are also very use to building and creating ops desk layout and connectivity for large shows in fact some of the largest shows that have hit Australia. This is important as the complexity of live streaming or live venues can really effect the outcome for the show especialy when people have unusual requests, turn up late with material or just want to do things differently.

As an onscreen host I am sure that with most of this you just want it to work and don’t have time to get bogged down in the technics while doing your show.

Production Support and Consultation

Producing a show can be quite complicated from designing a show format, branding, working out you workflows for preparing your show, planning your show, gathering you reseach and guests, capturing your images and video, editing, audio mastering, or if your doing it live, preparing for that.

We have experiance with television shows, radio shows, podcasting, producing ads, producing show templates, producing a series, producing documentries.

Our main focus here is developing workflows that makes your workload better, efficient and more successful. We are there to support you not tell you what to do, We will outline all our ideas and reasoning but in the end the decisions ar yours as we are there for you.

Equipment Hire

We only hire our equipment to trusted clients that we know are capable of setting the equipment up, know how to use it and will look after the equipment and bring it back safely. We also have contracts in place that insure payment for damaged equipment or repairs as well as ensuring that you only pay for working equipment.

Our trusted clients are usually those that have hired our services, crew and equipment enough that they have learnt to use it professionally and we feel they are confident and capable to use it. We envisgae our trusted clients hiring our equipment while they are trying to prepare, save or decide on the equipment they will end up with permanantly.

Camera Support and Operations

We can supply a range of cameras for different purposed as well as a volume of accesories, jibs and stabalisers to suit the cameras. It is nice to have a few angles to play with especially when you have one or more guests. As an example with 2 people, a host and guest, 3 cameras can make this exciting a camera on each subject and a wide shot of both.

But this means either owning 3 cameras or getting hold of three cameras, then controlling three cameras and selecting the cameras for the scene. Tally control, lighting, audio and so on it can get alot more complex than you are use to if you do not have the experiance.

Price wise we are more interested in long term arrangements so can keep the budget lower by looking at the long term advantages. Yes happy to help with one off situations but these will generally cost a little more.

Studio Design and Setup

You may be using your own area to set up for your show or another space maybe even ours. If you need help in either working out the design and layout , or putting together the technical requirements and workability of how your studio setup is going to work. We are here.

We have experiance in set design, tool work and building with the technical knowlege to make it work, and the production skills to get looking excellent. You may want a green screen setup so lighting is key to your success. You may want a small set created and capable of a simple packdown. You may want specific signage, led dispalys, back ground monitors or a led wall. Specific style microphones or bench your imagination is the only linit. You may want it simple or impressive all up it will depend on your needs and wish to upgrade to a professional look.
